Emma

Emma was born and raised in Nova Scotia. After a first career as a teacher, she returned to university and completed a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Dalhousie University. Working as a Clinical Social Worker, Emma now has over 30 years experience in the Mental Health field. She has worked at Mental Health Centres in three Nova Scotia Health Districts. Clinical and Administration responsibilities included Adult Mental Health Team Leader as well as Practice Leader for Mental Health Social Workers at Annapolis Valley Health. Between 1988 and 2000 Emma established a successful private practice in Vancouver, British Columbia.

Over her career, Emma has gained knowledge and expertise working with adults in the following areas:

Emma is a Registered Member with the Nova Scotia Association of Social Workers.

Fees are covered by many Extended Health Plans. Check in with your Health Provider and if need be, request to be covered by a Registered Clinical Social Worker. It is usually approved.
