Maria Radelich, PT
Maria is a Physiotherapist who completed her Bachelor of Kinesiology with Honours from Acadia University and went on to complete her Masters in Physiotherapy from Dalhousie University.
During her time at Acadia, Maria found her passion for helping others by working as an Athletic Trainer with the Varsity Men’s soccer team. She then went on to work with various sports teams that included the University of King’s College Women’s basketball team, the Halifax City Senior Men’s soccer team and the TASA Bantam AA hockey team.
Although sports injury is a major focus for Maria, she completed a clinical placement in pelvic health where she learned to integrate her sports knowledge to assist treating athletes with pelvic dysfunctions. She then went on to complete her post-graduate courses in pelvic health to be certified to provide pelvic exams and treatment (Level I/II/III).
Maria believes that no one should be limited by pelvic dysfunction and considers various treatment options to help her patients continue living a healthy lifestyle. Maria will work with you to achieve your goals through specific and functional exercise, soft tissue mobilization techniques, joint mobilization, acupuncture and functional dry needling.
When Maria isn’t in the clinic, she enjoys hiking with her dog, running, cooking and traveling. You will also find her volunteering with adults with intellectual disabilities as well as staying connected to her Italian heritage through the local Italian community.
